We all got back on August 1st, and we headed out to the track on Wednesday evening August 3rd.
Anthony won the 5 and under class in a field of three with light competition. With that said, he was riding very well despite a pretty good crash on one of his first laps.
Luca was in second place in his race despite getting his usual terrible start, but apparently got passed at the line so he ended up third (after watching the video below I think he got second). If he can start getting good starts I think he can win some of these things.
Anthony and I went back out on Saturday the 6th for our regular racing, and the 5 and unders had a full gate! I think that's only the second time we've seen a full gate in his class since we started. There were four 5 yr olds, three 4 yr olds, and Donavan, the newest three yr old since Anthony. Anthony finished third in the first race behind Elena Pliego and a new kid that we haven't seen before (there were actually a few that we'd never seen). They moved on to the main, and Anthony won the second moto. The main was the same result as the first moto although Anthony actually made it into second about half way through the lap. He ended up third in the end, but considerably closer than in the first moto.
Our next Saturday race at Napa will be the state race on August 20th.
