Napa BMX 3/26/2016

We haven't been out to the track in quite a while. Since Anthony's last race on January 2nd the track has only been open once, due to excessive rain, and we were in Tahoe that weekend.

Anthony is now a four year old! I was glad that he won a trophy in the 5 and under class as a three year old last time we were out since all of his subsequent opportunities were rained out.

Today there were only three entries in the 5 and under Novice class, Anthony, Colton and Naomi, so it was a total points race. That means that all three motos were scored evenly, and whoever has the least points wins the overall.

Anthony won the first moto! And in fine style too. There's no video of the first moto (I didn't even think of it until I texted Erika that he won), but he got a bad start (just like his dad) and then came back to beat everyone near the finish line.

He finished second in the second moto, but he was only a bike length behind Naomi, and he was closing very quickly.

And then he won the main (third moto) pretty handily!!!

I was proud. And surprised. He was happy!!!!!

I was happy too!
